Welcome to Gifted and Talented (GATE)

Welcome to South High Magnet School Gifted and Talented Education.   It is the mission of the Office of Gifted and Talented, Omaha Public Schools, to recognize and nurture outstanding abilities and support intellectual and social and emotional growth so that gifted and talented students may maximize their potential.

There are many opportunities at South High Magnet School that exist inside and outside the classroom for students identified in one or more of the five areas of giftedness:  Intellectual, Academic, Creativity, Leadership, Visual/Performing Arts.  High ability learners at South High Magnet have the opportunity to participate in a gifted program that gives them experiences far above that of typical high school students.
