Homecoming ticket sales started yesterday. The dance will be held on Saturday, September 25th from 7-10 pm. Ticket prices are $12. Tomorrow they will be $14.
Spirit week is in full swing. There will be prizes for best-dressed individuals, best-dressed advisement, and best-dressed activity. Tag South High on your favorite social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and use #SouthHoco2021. Are you a know-it-all? Looking to push yourself to the limits? Want to earn scholarships and other prizes? Then join the Omaha South Academic Decathlon team! The Academic Decathlon is a 10-subject team trivia competition for high school students. The Omaha South Academic Decathlon team meets every Monday and Friday in room 428 after school at 3:15. We'll be studying to prepare for the local competition in January. All are welcome to come and check us out and train to be on the team. Attention all 9th great students who are a part of the NICE program: Today you will meet with Echohawk Lefthand at 12:10pm in the gym lobby area. Mrs. Johnson, assistant principal, will give you a pass as a reminder on Tuesday to report to the gym lobby area to meet with Echohawk Lefthand. If your lunch period is before or after 12:10pm, Echohawk Lefthand will also meet with you during your lunch period.
Attention all 10th, 11th and 12th grade students are a part of the NICE program: During your lunch period today you will meet with Mr. Echohawk Lefthand, the director of the NICE program. Report directly to the cafeteria to get your lunch. Mrs. Johnson will give you a pass as a reminder on Tuesday to report to the gym lobby during lunch. Show the cafeteria staff your pass to get your lunch without first sitting down and being dismissed. Once you get your lunch report to the gym lobby area to meet Mr. Lefthand. Next week, September 27-30th, is Apply2College week. Seniors will be applying to colleges, visiting with college representatives, and will have a tailgate Thursday to cap off the week. Teachers and staff will also be sharing their college stories with students to get the conversation started about what life after school looks like. Freshman, sophomores, and juniors are encouraged to wear college colors as well. Please help us celebrate this special week!

Saturday- Titan Marching Invitational-Call 10am, bus departs South 11am, bus returns 4:15pm.
