Homecoming is quickly approaching. The dance will be held on Saturday, September 25th from 7-10 pm. Tickets may be purchased at lunch, September 20th-23rd. Ticket prices increase every day, so buy them early. The first 25 tickets purchased in each lunch will receive a fun gift. 

Spirit week will start THIS FRIDAY, September 17th. There will be prizes for best-dressed individuals, best-dressed advisement, and best-dressed activity. Tag South High on your favorite social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and use #SouthHoco2021. If you do not have social media, send your photos to Ms. Sara Policky and Ms. Samantha Koehler-Overton. Make sure the subject line is #SouthHoco2021

9/21 - Twin Day
9/22 - Pink Out
9/23 - Packer Spirit 
9/24 - No school, the Homecoming football theme will be a Black Out.

CRU will be meeting after school tomorrow from 3:15-4:15 in the Hope Center in Room 159. CRU is a faith-based, student led organization. Everyone is welcome to come. If you have any questions about CRU, ask Mr. Chavez in Room 159. 

Student council meeting tomorrow, 9/16 in room 334. New members are always welcome. 

Today, right after school, we will have our first club meeting for SOLO 24 Records in room 248. SOLO 24 Records is Omaha South’s own student run record label. We actually an awesome Recording studio inside the School! So, if you write music/lyrics/sing or play an instrument and are interested in making your own music or Recording on someone else’s track come down to 248 Wednesday after School to find out more info and get the schedule. Talk to Mr. Austin if you have questions.

Are you looking for a challenge? Wanting to push yourself to the limits and become a leader in the process? Then the South High Academic Decathlon team needs YOU! The Academic Decathlon is a 10 subject team trivia competition for high school students. Students will form a team and study in preparation for the regional competition in January. Interested? Scan the QR code, take the quiz, and see if you have what it takes! For more info, please join Mr. Gurnett and Mr. Menendez in room 428 after school Wednesday 9/15 at 3:15.

Attention Bowlers: There will be an organizational meeting for those students interested in Unified Bowling on Tuesday, October 5 at 3:10 in Room 462.  If you cannot attend this meeting, please see Mr. Goetz in Room 463 for information.

Latino Leaders will begin meeting today at 3:10 in room 269. See Ms. Lara with questions.

Science Club will meet next Wednesday September 22 in room 229 at 3:20.
