Ni Hau (hello in Chinese) South family. We are members of Packers Making a Change. We would like to inform you about the incredible diversity within our school. Did you know our South High family is made up of students from over 30 countries?! Students walking next to you in the hallway could be from Ethopia or Slovakia, Syria or Kenya. We encourage you to share all the amazing parts of your culture with others today and be open to learning about others

The Counseling Department will be taking South's Students to UNL for a College Campus Visit to attend the "I'm First Symposium". If you would like to attend check your emails for more information. 

Juniors and Seniors if you are interested in attending Iowa Western Community College Campus Visit, check your emails for more information.

Sophomores- Check your emails regarding Omaha South's Sophomore of the Year. Nominations End on April 10th.

The South High Prom, Floral Fantasy, will be held Saturday, April 6th from 7:30 - 11:00 PM at the Kroc Center. Tickets will be sold for $20 outside of the math office before and after school beginning Wednesday, March 27 through Friday, April 5. Beat the rush and get them early! If you wish to bring a date from another school a form must be completed and returned to 242 prior to Thursday, April 4 by 3 PM

Congratulations to the following students for being elected as the 2019-2020 Senior Class Officers: Brenda Valle, Kasandra Miramontes-Avendano, Caylee Botos, Aixa Flores-Dominguez, Casandra Mendoza, Leslie Gonzalez Sanchez, Aldo Bravo-Marin, and Emily Sandoval-Monroy.

The following track athletes medaled over the weekend: Lilia Alvarez, Vanessa Neri, Angie Gomez, and Jessica Fuertes were 1st in the 4xmile relay. Other girls medalists were: Jaqueline Zubiate, Mailene Zubiate, Isabel Gott, Sydney Chase, Haven Appel, Emma Bailey, Audrey Delong, Aixa Flores, Nyla Dawson Deonte Jackson, Prince Baldwin, Kelley Cobbs, and Alberto Ramirez won the 4x160 relay. Salah Hilowle, Alex Perez, Aden Rewolinski and Adam Ali won the 4x800 relay. Felix Cruz was 1st in the 600m and the 1000m. Adam Ali won the 2mile. Edrei Murillo was 2nd in the 600 and 1000. Jaylon Partee was 3rd in the 600m. Other individual event medalists include Deonte Jackson, Prince Baldwin, Alex Elizarraga, and Salah Hilowle.
