Packers: Do you want to help save lives? National Honor Society is having their annual blood drive with the Nebraska Community Blood Bank next Friday on March 29th. We will be signing up people who are eligible to donate this week and beginning of next week. There will be NHS members during the lunch hours signing people up. We will be in the main lunch room to schedule your blood donation appointment time. If you are 16 years old, please make sure to get a permission slip from Ms. ZB in her office. - Room 327. Remember- Donating one pint helps save 3 lives. Be a superhero and help save lives within our community. For this blood drive you will also be receiving a free t-shirt for donating. Thank you and if you have any questions please see Ms. ZB-Room 327.

Are you passionate about sustainability, fighting climate change, and connecting with peers? Please consider joining the Climate Change Council of the Omaha Students Union. This is a collation of youth fighting for our playing at the local level. We are looking for passionate, dedicated students to bring their ideas, opinions, and concerns. All high school students are welcome! Look for the fliers around school to find the contact phone number or visit us on social media!

The Counseling Department will be taking South's Students to UNL for a College Campus Visit and attend the "I'm First Symposium" (For 1st Generation students wanting to learn about attending UNL for College). If you would like to attend check your emails for more information. You will need to complete UNL's Online Registration as well as OPS Field Trip Form and return to Mrs. Branson in the Counseling Department. Don't be late, the first 50 students registered with returned permission forms will attend.

Sophomores- Check your emails. You can be recognized as Omaha South's Sophomore of the Year. If you think you got what it takes, please fill out the form in your Email. There will be ONE Winner! Nominations End on April 10th.

Juniors and Seniors if you are interested in attending Iowa Western Community College Campus Visit, check your emails for more information. Forms may also be found on Mr. Carlson's Door in the Counseling Department. The first 20 students with returned forms will be selected to attend.

The South High Prom, Floral Fantasy, will be held Saturday, April 6th from 7:30 - 11:00 PM at the Kroc Center. Tickets will be sold for $20 outside of the math office before and after school beginning Wednesday, March 27 through Friday, April 5. Beat the rush and get them early! If you wish to bring a date from another school a form must be completed and returned to 242 prior to Thursday, April 4 by 3 PM

Attention Packers interested in Auditioning for the Luvabulls Dance Team: Please pick-up your tryout packet from Miss Taylor in Room 461.Tryouts begin Monday - Saturday March 30th. Are you interested in being a voice for South High? Do you want to give back to our community? How about plan homecoming and some awesome spirit weeks? Omaha South's Advanced Piano Classes will present their Third Quarter 'All Classical' recitals tonight in the Vocal Music Room, Room 148. Enter through the doors at 23rd and J street and go down the stairs to Room 148. Recitals start at 5:00, 6:30 and 8:00 and will last for about an hour each. Refreshments will be served after each recital. Admission is free, so all students and staff are invited to attend.
