The South High Drama Department will hold acting auditions for the "Winter 10-Minute Play Festival” to be streamed on February 17th and 18th, 2021. In-person auditions will be held in the South High Auditorium on Tuesday, December 8th for A-K and Thursday, December 10th for L-Z. You will be asked to read from the scripts. No previous experience is necessary. Rehearsals will begin remotely in January after the break and will transition into after school rehearsals starting January 19th. The festival will include a variety of short plays with a wide range of characters and situations. The auditions will run from 3:15-4:30pm. See Mr. Barratt in the auditorium for more information.

Students taking the ACT this Saturday the 12th: 
1.) Students need to have your student ID or a current Driver's license.  A current ID is required by ACT for admission.  See your counselor today if you need help with this.
2.) Students need to bring your own calculator and pencils.
3.) Students need to arrive at South by 7:30AM.
4.) Students need to have your admission ticket printed.  Please come to the counseling office right away to do this if you did not already do this.
5.)Final reminder.  Please leave smart watches and cell phones at home or locked up somewhere.  ACT requires us to dismiss you if you even accidentally pull it out of your pocket. 

The mobile food pantry will be at TAC on Tuesday December 15th and at South High in the parking lot on 23rd & J Street on Thursday December 17th with pick-up starting at 5:00 PM. No documentation is needed to access the pantry. Due to winter break, Ms. Greenberg is not able to offer delivery.

Louder Than a Bomb will meet today at 4:00 on Teams. (Pause) Whoa. Did you just feel an eddy in the space-time continuum? That might be because starting on December 16th, yes December 16th, Louder Than a Bomb will start meeting on Wednesdays, at 4:00 pm on Teams. See you then, and then again.

Seniors, you only have eight weeks left to complete the FAFSA/CFE in order to complete your online Buffett application. Last year we had 80 students earn the Buffett Scholarship. Contact your counselor for help opportunities available to you.

Virtual Tutoring is Available every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:15 - 6pm. Please join the Tutoring Team to receive tutoring in English, ESL, German, Math, Science, Scholarship Help, Social Studies, Spanish and Technology Guidance.
