Daily Bulletin

Tuesday, January 19, 2021

Teachers, please check Ms. ZBs email from Thursday, January 14th regarding the distribution of student ID badges today and tomorrow in advisement.

Today in your advisement you will receive your ID badge, lanyard, and the expectations re: wearing your ID every day at Omaha South High Magnet. You will also receive who to contact if you have any questions or concerns re: ID Badge.
If you purchased a picture packet -- you will receive that today also. Make sure you and your parents read the information inside the packet re: retakes. Retakes for students attending A-K Days will be on Tuesday, January 26th, 2021. This will be for new students, students that did not have their picture taken in the fall AND anyone who purchased a picture packet and wants a "Do-Over". So, mark your calendar if you are in one of those categories and get ready to bring your smile!!!

The mobile food pantry will be at TAC on January 19th and at South on January 21st. Public pick-up begins at 5:00 PM and no documentation is required.

Students previously enrolled in JROTC and still in possession of the JROTC Uniform should return it to the JROTC program as soon possible. Your uniform can be returned to JROTC Supply, in room 155. As an alternative, you may drop off your uniform at the South High School Main Office. Please attach you name tag to the uniform for correct identification. Dry Cleaning is not required as a condition to return the uniform.

The Buffett Deadline is February 1st. Check with your counselor for help submitting online. Make sure you have a few teachers or counselors proofread your essay.

Tardy slips will begin this Thursday for the yellow L-Z group and next Monday for the blue A-K group. Teachers may still mark you tardy today and tomorrow, though, so you still need to be on time to class. Now some good news: If you earned tardy slips last semester, you get to start over for second semester. It’s a new year, and a fresh start for each of you. So, today and tomorrow, make sure you figure out how to get to each of your classes on time. Then, you will be able to be on time to each class every day of the semester.

If you are interested in publishing a shoutout to a senior in the 2021 yearbook, please e-mail Ms. Wheeler at The deadline is January 31st. If you are interested in buying a 2021 yearbook, you can stop in to see Ms. Wheeler in room 369 or buy online at
